About Jarrod

Jarrod Longbons is a pastor, theologian, and writer. He serves as Senior Minister at Peachtree Christian Church in Atlanta, an over-one-hundred-year-old congregation learning again what it means to live as the church.

He writes for complex creatures, which is to say all of us: people carrying more than they let on, trying to practice a serious faith in a moment that has stopped assuming one. His work draws on the depth of the Great Tradition (the saints, the scriptures, the long conversation about how to live well) and brings it to bear on the lives of the people in front of him.

Jarrod holds a PhD in theology from the University of Nottingham. He is the writer of the Oracle in the Dark newsletter, host of the Complex Creatures podcast, and a liver transplant recipient at work on a book about what it means to have survived what he thought would kill him. He lives in Atlanta with his family.
